Let’s just say I am addicted!!! Finding vegan food in New Haven was impossible! But then someone told me about this place out in Bridgeport. And after 4 orders of various sizes, I can safely say that the food is always delivered hot and fresh. It’s always packaged well and I love how they draw my name on the bag with some sort of doodle. I’ve had deliveries to from their place in Bridgeport to Shelton and Milford and it doesn’t matter, the quality is always top tier. I’ve been praying to find a good vegan spot to call home and I’m almost willing to move to Bridgeport just to eat here everyday! Thank you all so much for your efforts! I’ll see yall again on my next payday ;)

Veganish, Veganish, Veganish! This Bridgeport hidden gem delivers an ambiance and music vibe that’s always a perfect 10/10. The vegan chicken and waffles are hands down the best I’ve ever had—crispy, flavorful, and seasoned to perfection. You also can’t go wrong with the fried fish sandwiches or the empanadas, each bursting with flavor. The drinks carry a hint of ginger spice—something to note if that’s not your thing—but when mixed just right, they create a perfectly balanced flavor explosion. Veganish is absolutely the most delicious vegan food I have ever had. The owners are warm, welcoming, and incredibly pleasant, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. I’m not vegan, my husband is, but I would honestly rate this place 10 out of 10. The food is incredible, flavorful, and so satisfying that you truly won’t miss the meat! 🌱✨

Great vegan/vegetarian cafe. They did disclose there's tuna on the menu after we arrived. Fun and inviting options. We had a yummy lunch. I had the crispy "chicken" sweet chili wrap. My husbands salad was really tasty with fried mushrooms as a meat alternative. Hidden gem. Happy we found it.

Don’t let the name fool you, everything on the menu starts out vegan. This somewhat bizarre menu gives the option to add egg or tuna to anything of your choice. Anything not vegan, including pastries, are clearly labeled. If you avoid those items, however, you have a vegan’s paradise. The food is affordably priced, delicious, and comes out quickly. The staff was informative, kind, and happy to answer questions. This is some genuinely delicious food in an otherwise not very vegan friendly city. I highly recommend it!

10/10 highly recommend, Had the Vegan Crispy Sandwich, it was absolutely amazing!!! & the sweet potato fries were cooked and seasoned to perfection! Love it here & will return.

Wow I’m not sure if I even have the words first and foremost kudos to the chef amazing the food was so good one of the best if not thee best yes I dare say it vegan restaurants I’ve been to and there’s been plenty the Mac and cheese bomb!!! The wraps delicious sweet potato fries were really good we ate there and ordered food to take home for later because we live in a different part of CT spent over $150 for multiple options around 8 or so definitely worth it oh and the menu doesn’t do it justice follow them on Instagram Veganish_ct

Veganish Cafe in Bridgeport, CT is an absolute gem for vegan, vegetarian, and even non-vegan diners. Our whole group loved it, including the meat eaters, who walked out completely satisfied and surprised by how good everything was. What really stood out to me was that the food didn’t rely on fake or imitation meats. Everything is made from scratch, and they use ingredients like oyster mushrooms as a stand-in for meat, which gives the dishes amazing texture and flavor without feeling overly processed. Every plate we tried was fresh, flavorful, and super creative. The vibe inside the restaurant is warm, welcoming, and fun. It’s the kind of place where you want to linger and hang out. A huge highlight was having the owner come over to our table to check on us and answer any questions. She explained that the name “Veganish” comes from her being vegan and her husband not being fully vegan, which is why the menu has a mostly plant-based focus with a few options like real eggs and tuna. It makes this a perfect spot for mixed groups where not everyone is strictly vegan. If you’re looking for a vegan restaurant in Bridgeport CT, a plant-based brunch or dinner spot, or just delicious, homemade food that satisfies both vegans and non-vegans, I can’t recommend Veganish Cafe highly enough.

Amazing experience and tasty food!! We were the first on a Saturday for breakfast and the staff were also very helpful with explaining the menu. We had Bang Bang cauliflower taco (tasty sauce with semi fried cauliflower, very yummy), Vegan Buffalo chicken wrap (made with mushroom and very tasty), fries on the side were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, Oyster Po boy (very yum sandwich with a tasty sauce). They asked us to spin a wheel and we got a 5% discount on the food, which was fun. They also gave us complimentary non-alcoholic mimosas which were very good as well. We loved the food and the ambience, and so happy that would a place with good vegan options. We would love to go back and try other items on the menu!!

I had the absolute best birthday experience at Veganish Café! My bff/sister took me here to celebrate, and from the moment we walked in, we were blown away. The ambience was so warm and inviting, with so much attention to detail. The customer service was outstanding — Fabiola, Isiah, and the owner Hannah went above and beyond to make the day special. They even surprised me with a complimentary birthday donut and played Stevie Wonder’s “Happy Birthday” — such a thoughtful touch that made the whole place feel like family. The food was incredible — we had the Baja cauliflower tacos (hands down the best thing ever!), chicken and waffles, and the breakfast platter. Every dish was perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. My sister has a nut allergy, and the staff was extremely accommodating and careful, which we truly appreciated. We left so happy, full, and grateful — this is officially our new favorite spot to eat, celebrate, and enjoy great service. Can’t wait to come back!
